Zdravotnití is a Czech term that broadly translates to healthcare or medical care. It encompasses the entire system of services, institutions, and professionals dedicated to maintaining and restoring the health of individuals and the population. This includes preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care.

The Czech healthcare system is largely based on a universal insurance model. Most citizens are covered by statutory health insurance, funded through contributions from employees, employers, and the state. This insurance provides access to a wide range of medical services, often with minimal out-of-pocket costs for patients. Private healthcare providers also exist, offering services that may supplement or be an alternative to the public system.

Medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, undergo rigorous education and training.
