Zboic

Zboic is a fictional town and municipality in the eastern portion of the imagined nation of Eldoria. It lies in the Zbor River valley, about 60 kilometers north of Eldoria’s capital. The town has a population of roughly 9,100 and covers about 22 square kilometers. Its historic center preserves a medieval market square and a 14th‑century chapel, while a modern district contains the regional rail station and a light-industrial park.

Zboic originated as a market town in the 12th century and grew with trade along the Zbor River. The arrival of the railway in the 1860s spurred industrial development, and the town expanded westward during the late 19th century. It remains the administrative seat of its municipality, with a council elected for five-year terms.

Geographically, Zboic sits in a temperate zone with rolling low hills, fertile soils, and the Zbor River flowing northward to the coastal plain. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers influenced by maritime air.

Economy centers on agriculture (grain and fruit), small-scale ceramics production, and logistics served by rail and highway networks. Local workshops produce fine earthenware known for hand-painted motifs. Public services and small commerce provide employment in the town center.

Demographically, the population is predominantly Eldorian, with Eldorian as the official language and small communities speaking minority dialects. The religious landscape is diverse, reflecting a mix of local churches and smaller temples in surrounding hamlets.

Culture and notable features include the annual Zboic Harvest Festival, the Market Hall, a regional library, and a small theater. Nearby countryside hosts a nature reserve and several archaeological sites.
