Typically, zaadgewicht is expressed as the weight of 1,000 seeds, often denoted as Thousand Seed Weight (TSW) or "Tausendkornmasse" in German. Higher zaadgewicht can sometimes indicate larger, plumper seeds, which may have greater nutrient reserves and potentially lead to stronger seedling establishment and higher yields.
