Yuhuan

Yuhuan is a county-level city of Zhejiang Province, China, under the administration of Taizhou City. It is located on the eastern coast of Zhejiang, along the East China Sea, and includes coastal and offshore areas.

The city is subdivided into several subdistricts and towns, spanning urban and rural areas. It has a long history and, in the late 20th century, was reorganized from a county into a county-level city as part of Taizhou's urban development.

Yuhuan's economy is anchored in heavy industry, petrochemicals, shipbuilding, and logistics. It hosts a major oil storage facility that serves regional energy networks and supports local refining and distribution. The city also manufactures machinery and consumer products and maintains a growing service sector.

Yuhuan is connected by provincial roads to the Zhejiang coastal corridor and to nearby ports, providing access to maritime facilities in Taizhou and other coastal cities that support trade with the East China Sea region. The city benefits from proximity to the Yangtze River Delta economic circle.

The population speaks Mandarin and the local Taizhou dialect. Yuhuan maintains educational institutions including primary and secondary schools and vocational training centers. The Yuhuan oil tank farm is a prominent installation associated with the city’s petrochemical activities.
