Yhteiskantakytkennässä, often translated as "common-emitter coupling" or "common-emitter configuration," refers to a fundamental circuit topology in electronics, particularly in transistor amplifier design. In this configuration, the input signal is applied to the base of a bipolar junction transistor (BJT), while the output signal is taken from the collector. The emitter terminal is common to both the input and output circuits, hence the name. This common emitter acts as a reference point for both voltage and current signals.
