Wolfen
Wolfen is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Apogee Software in 1992. It is the sequel to the 1991 game Castle Wolfenstein, and like its predecessor, it is set during World War II. The game is notable for its fast-paced gameplay, dark humor, and innovative use of 3D graphics for the time. Wolfen features a single-player campaign where players control a soldier named William "B.J." Blazkowicz, who is tasked with infiltrating a Nazi stronghold to rescue his girlfriend, who has been captured by the enemy. The game's levels are designed to be fast and challenging, with a focus on quick reflexes and strategic thinking. Wolfen also includes a multiplayer mode, allowing players to compete against each other in various game modes. The game's soundtrack, composed by Robert Prince, is known for its energetic and upbeat tunes, which help to set the tone for the game's fast-paced action. Wolfen was released to critical acclaim and is considered a classic of the first-person shooter genre. It was later re-released in 2014 as part of the id Tech 3: Wolfenstein 3D Enhanced Edition, which includes updated graphics and new features.
