Winkelfehlern
Winkelfehler, literally “angle error,” is a perceptual phenomenon in which people misjudge angles. It is studied in psychology and vision science as part of angular perception and visual illusion research. In experimental settings, participants may be asked to align a movable ruler or to reproduce a target angle by adjusting a line. The reproduced angle typically deviates systematically from the target, producing Winkelfehler. The magnitude of the error is usually small, but the bias is reproducible within a given task and can be quantified as a signed difference in degrees.
