Windfacing
Windfacing refers to the orientation of a building, structure, or site feature with respect to the prevailing wind. In architecture and urban design, it describes which direction the building “faces” toward or away from the dominant wind, and how openings, massing, and form interact with that wind. The term is often used in discussions of vernacular architecture to describe how dwellings are oriented to catch breezes for ventilation.
