Wedgwoods
Wedgwood is a British manufacturer of dinnerware, collectible items, and home and giftware. Founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood, the company quickly became renowned for its innovative ceramic production techniques and high-quality products. Josiah Wedgwood was a pioneer in the industrialization of pottery, developing methods such as the steam engine and the pyrometer. His most famous creations include creamware, basalt, and jasperware. Jasperware, in particular, is characterized by its distinctive unglazed matte finish, often in blue or white, and is famously used for decorative reliefs.
The company has a long history of royal patronage, receiving its first Royal Warrant in 1765. Wedgwood
