Wedgelocks
Wedgelocks, also known as wedgetite fittings, are a type of mechanical fastener used to join pipes or conduits. They consist of a wedging mechanism that creates a tight seal when engaged. The basic components typically include a housing, a wedge or wedge ring, and a sealing element, often a rubber O-ring or gasket. When the components are assembled, the wedge is driven into place, compressing the sealing element against the pipe and the housing. This compression generates a watertight or airtight seal.
The primary advantage of wedgelocks is their ease of installation and removal without the need for specialized
