Wasakans
The Wasakans were a Native American people who inhabited parts of what is now Texas and Oklahoma. They were part of the Caddoan language family and were known for their agricultural practices, primarily growing corn, beans, and squash. Historical records suggest the Wasakans were a semi-nomadic tribe, with villages that were sometimes moved. They were noted for their intricate pottery and basketry, reflecting a developed material culture.
During the 18th century, the Wasakans frequently interacted with European explorers and traders, particularly the Spanish.
By the early 19th century, the Wasakans had largely merged with or been absorbed into other Caddoan
