Warmextrusion

Warm extrusion refers to a manufacturing process used to produce shaped profiles and extruded products for various industrial applications. This process typically takes place at elevated temperatures below the melting point of the material being processed, which differentiates it from the traditional extrusion method that operates at a higher temperature.

During the warm extrusion process, a heat source, such as an extrusion press or a separately heated chamber, is used to raise the temperature of the metal billet to a level that allows it to be shaped and formed into a desired profile without undergoing significant melting.
