Wachsausformen
Wachsausformen are templates or molds used to shape wax into precise patterns. They are employed in processes where wax patterns serve as temporary parts to produce final components, most notably in investment casting (lost-wax casting). Wachsausformen can be made from materials such as metal, silicone, or heat- and wear-resistant ceramics, which allows repeated use. The form chosen influences surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and durability. Wax can be formed by injection, pressing, or carving within these forms.
In typical production, a Wachsausform matching the desired geometry is selected or fabricated, and wax is introduced
Advantages of Wachsausformen include the ability to reproduce complex geometries with smooth surfaces and high dimensional
Wachsausformen are common in jewelry manufacturing, prototyping, and various engineering applications where precise wax patterns are
