It refers to the process of "waking up" to what adherents believe is the truth about a global cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who control governments, media, and finance. The "konfiguration" aspect implies a deliberate and often gradual process of changing one's perception and understanding of reality to align with QAnon narratives.

The concept of WANKonfiguration is central to the QAnon ideology, suggesting that individuals who have been "red-pilled" have undergone a significant mental and informational shift. This shift is supposedly facilitated by following cryptic online posts, often referred to as "Q drops," which are interpreted as clues and revelations.
