Védárnyékolás

Védárnyékolás, also known as sun shading or sun protection, refers to a range of architectural and passive design strategies employed to reduce the amount of solar radiation that enters a building. The primary goal of védárnyékolás is to mitigate unwanted solar heat gain, which can lead to overheating, increased energy consumption for cooling, and discomfort for occupants.

Effective védárnyékolás can be achieved through various means. Exterior shading devices, such as overhangs, louvers, awnings, and shutters, are particularly effective because they block solar radiation before it reaches the window glass. These external elements prevent heat from entering the building envelope in the first place. Interior shading devices, like blinds, curtains, and reflective films, can also help reduce solar heat gain, though they are generally less effective than external solutions as some solar radiation has already penetrated the window.

Beyond physical devices, védárnyékolás can also involve strategic landscaping. Planting deciduous trees on the south and west sides of a building can provide shade during the hot summer months while allowing sunlight to pass through in the winter when the leaves have fallen. The orientation and design of the building itself play a crucial role, with careful consideration given to window placement and size in relation to the sun's path throughout the year. By implementing these védárnyékolás techniques, building designers can significantly improve thermal comfort, reduce reliance on active cooling systems, and contribute to more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.
