One of the most common color models is RGB, which stands for Red, Green, and Blue. This additive model is used for digital displays like monitors and televisions. By combining different intensities of red, green, and blue light, a wide spectrum of colors can be created.

Another widely used model is CMYK, which stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black). This subtractive model is primarily used in printing. In this system, colors are created by subtracting light from a white surface. The addition of black ink is essential for achieving deeper tones and true blacks.

Other color models exist, such as HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) and HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value). These models are often more intuitive for human perception, allowing users to adjust colors based on their hue, intensity of color, and brightness.
