Värvikvaliteet refers to the faithfulness and accuracy with which a device or medium reproduces colors. It encompasses several aspects, including color gamut, accuracy, consistency, and perceived visual appeal. A high color quality means that the displayed or printed colors closely match the original source or intended appearance.

Color gamut defines the range of colors a device can produce. A wider gamut allows for a greater variety and saturation of colors to be represented. Color accuracy, often measured by metrics like Delta E, indicates how close the displayed colors are to the reference colors. Low Delta E values signify higher accuracy. Color consistency ensures that colors remain stable across different devices, viewing conditions, or over time.

The perception of color quality is also subjective and can be influenced by factors such as lighting, the viewer's color vision, and personal preferences. While objective measurements are crucial, the ultimate test often lies in how pleasing and true-to-life the colors appear to the human eye.
