In everyday language, visszafordít can refer to physically reversing the direction of movement, such as turning a vehicle backward or reversing a tape recording. For example, one might say *Visszafordítom a tevében a felvételt* ("I’m rewinding the recording on the TV"). It can also describe undoing an action, such as reversing a decision or correcting an error. In this sense, it may be used interchangeably with *megfordít* ("to reverse" or "to invert"), though visszafordít often carries a stronger implication of returning to an earlier state.
