Virðisflæðikortlagning, often translated as value stream mapping, is a lean-management method used to analyze and visualize the current state and future state of a process. It's a tool for identifying waste, reducing lead times, and improving efficiency within any given workflow. The core concept involves mapping out all the steps a product or service takes from its inception to delivery to the customer, including both value-adding and non-value-adding activities.
