Virustestaus

Virustestaus, or virus scanning, is a process used to detect, identify, and remove malicious software, commonly referred to as viruses, from digital devices such as computers, servers, and mobile phones. The primary purpose of virus scanning is to protect systems from unauthorized access, data theft, corruption, or damage caused by malware, including viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, and spyware.

The process typically involves running specialized software, known as antivirus programs, which scan files, applications, and system memory for known malicious patterns or behaviors. These programs maintain databases of virus signatures—unique identifiers of known malware—that are updated regularly to counter new threats. Some advanced antivirus solutions also employ heuristic analysis, which detects suspicious behavior or code that may indicate malware, even if it is not yet in the signature database.

Virus scanning can be performed manually by the user or automated through scheduled scans. Real-time scanning is another feature offered by many antivirus programs, where files are continuously monitored as they are accessed or modified. While no security solution is foolproof, combining virus scanning with other preventive measures significantly reduces the risk of malware infections.
