Vindyagiri
Vindyagiri is a prominent hill and a significant religious site located in the Hassan district of Karnataka, India. It is one of the two hills that form the twin peaks of Shravanabelagola, the other being Chandragiri. Vindyagiri is particularly famous for housing the colossal statue of Gomateshwara, also known as Bahubali. This monolithic statue, standing at 57 feet tall, is carved out of a single granite rock and is considered one of the largest free-standing statues in the world. The statue is a revered Jain pilgrimage destination and attracts devotees and tourists from across the globe.
