Vesiripulis
Vesiripulis, also known as Hydrophilus, is a genus of aquatic beetles belonging to the family Hydrophilidae. These beetles are commonly found in freshwater environments worldwide, inhabiting ponds, lakes, and slow-moving streams. They are characterized by their relatively large size and a distinctive convex body shape. A notable feature of Vesiripulis is their ability to carry an air bubble underneath their elytra, which allows them to breathe underwater. This adaptation is crucial for their aquatic lifestyle, enabling them to forage for food and escape predators beneath the surface.
The diet of Vesiripulis species varies, but many are detritivores, feeding on decaying organic matter found
