Verktøysbytter

Verktøysbytter, often translated as tool changer or automatic tool changer (ATC), is a crucial component in modern manufacturing, particularly in CNC machining. It refers to a mechanism that allows a machine tool to automatically switch between different cutting tools without manual intervention. This capability significantly enhances productivity and automation in machining operations.

The primary function of a verktøysbytter is to hold a variety of tools and exchange them in the spindle as needed during a machining cycle. This eliminates the downtime associated with manual tool changes, which can be time-consuming and prone to human error.
