Verenryhmäjakaumat
Verenryhmäjakaumat refer to the statistical distribution of different blood types within a given population. Blood types are primarily determined by the presence or absence of certain antigens on the surface of red blood cells, most commonly categorized by the ABO and Rh blood group systems. The ABO system classifies blood into four main types: A, B, AB, and O, based on the presence of A and B antigens. The Rh system further divides these types into Rh-positive (Rh+) and Rh-negative (Rh-), indicating the presence or absence of the RhD antigen.
The prevalence of these blood types varies significantly across different ethnic groups, geographical regions, and nationalities.
