Vercharterde

Vercharterde is a Dutch term used in maritime and commercial contexts to describe a vessel or asset that has been chartered out to a third party. In this sense it functions as an adjective or past participle, indicating that ownership has licensed the use of the asset to a charterer under a formal agreement for a defined period or voyage.

In shipping practice, a vercharterde vessel operates under a charterparty in forms such as voyage charter, time charter, or bareboat charter. The charterparty specifies the allocation of responsibilities, risks, and costs between owner and charterer, such as crewing, maintenance, insurance, and fuel.
