Ventilationsflödet, often translated as ventilation rate or airflow, refers to the volume of air exchanged in a space over a given period. It is a crucial parameter in building ventilation systems, determining the effectiveness of air purification, temperature control, and the removal of pollutants. The standard unit for measuring ventilation flow is cubic meters per hour (m³/h) or cubic feet per minute (cfm).

Proper ventilation flow is essential for maintaining indoor air quality. It ensures the dilution of airborne contaminants such as carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and moisture, which can originate from building materials, occupants, and external sources.
