Velataan
Velataan is a Finnish verb form that roughly corresponds to “is charged” or “is billed” in English. It is a passive form historically derived from the verb veloittaa, meaning to charge or bill. In modern standard Finnish, the most common passive forms for charging are veloiteta and veloitetaan; velataan is less common and is typically encountered in informal speech, regional varieties, or marketing text that aims for a colloquial tone. The form shares its etymology with veloitus (the act of charging) and laskutus (invoicing). It is built from the root velo- and the -taa suffix typical for infinitives and the -taan passive ending.
Usage: Velataan is used to indicate that a fee is to be paid or has been charged
