Vandjetcutting
Vandjetcutting is a term that refers to the process of cutting materials using a high-pressure stream of water, often mixed with an abrasive substance. This method, also known as waterjet cutting, is a subtractive manufacturing process that can cut a wide range of materials including metals, plastics, composites, stone, glass, and ceramics. The water stream is propelled by a pump capable of generating pressures from 30,000 to over 90,000 psi.
The abrasive material, typically sand or garnet, is introduced into the water stream in a mixing chamber.
Vandjetcutting offers several benefits. It is a cold cutting process, meaning it does not generate significant
