Valonilmaisten
Valonilmaisten, literally “the light-air people” in Finnish, is the name given to a legendary race described in Finnic folklore and, later, in fantasy fiction. They are conventionally associated with daylight, wind, and high places, and are said to inhabit luminous air currents above mountains and fjords or hidden cavernous ledges. The name derives from valo (light) and ilma (air), with -isten forming a demonym.
