Vallitens

Vallitens is a sovereign city-state located on the western coast of the island of Magnoria in the southern Pacific Ocean. With an area of approximately 85 square kilometres, the capital territory is densely populated and serves as the administrative, cultural, and economic hub of the state. The nation’s topography features a mix of volcanic highlands, fertile plains, and a network of rivers that converge in the central district.

Established in the early 12th century, Vallitens emerged as a maritime trading post under the patronage of the Magno Dynasty. Over the centuries it evolved into an independent polity after the Decade of Unification in 1515, when the last of the regional warlords were persuaded to recognize a central government. The constitution adopted in 1723 introduced a limited constitutional monarchy, wherein the reigning monarch is elected by a council of provincial governors. The current system balances traditional stewardship with modern democratic practices, and the legislative body is called the Hall of Assemblies.

The economy of Vallitens relies heavily on high‑tech manufacturing, especially in robotics and clean energy, as well as on a robust tourism sector that capitalises on the state’s historic architecture and natural parks. Cultural life is shaped by a syncretic blend of indigenous Magnorian and East Asian influences, reflected in the cuisine, music, and festivals that celebrate the monsoon harvest and the Lunar New Year. Vallitens maintains diplomatic relations with several Pacific partners and participates actively in regional organizations such as the Pacific Islands Forum and the Commonwealth of Nations. The state’s official language is Vallitan, a creole that incorporates elements of Papi–Magno and Polynesian dialects, while English remains a widely used second language.
