VEGF receptors, also known as vascular endothelial growth factor receptors, are a family of tyrosine kinase receptors that play a crucial role in angiogenesis, the process by which new blood vessels form. These receptors are primarily expressed on the surface of endothelial cells, which line the interior of blood vessels. The VEGF family includes several ligands, with VEGF-A being the most well-studied.
