Usaid
USAID, the United States Agency for International Development, is a United States federal government agency responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance overseas. It was created in 1961 by the Foreign Assistance Act, consolidating U.S. foreign aid programs that had previously been scattered across several agencies. The agency is led by an Administrator, nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate, who reports to the Secretary of State and coordinates U.S. foreign assistance policy with the State Department.

Funding for USAID comes from annual appropriations by the U.S. Congress as part of the Foreign Operations
