Unreeled

Unreeled is a term that describes the action of something being unfastened or let out from a rolled or wound state. It most commonly refers to physical objects that are wound around a central core, such as film, tape, or rope. When something is unreeled, it is gradually extended or let out, transitioning from a compact, coiled form to a longer, linear one.

The opposite of unreeled is to be reeled in or wound up. The term can also be used metaphorically to describe a story or event that gradually unfolds or is revealed over time. For example, a complex mystery might be described as being "unreeled" as clues and details are discovered.
