Universalumas

Universalumas is a theoretical construct proposed in the late 20th century within certain branches of physics and philosophy. It refers to a hypothetical universal medium or field that permeates all space and time, posited as a foundational substrate from which physical phenomena and consciousness might emerge. The concept was largely inspired by the quest for a unified theory that reconciles quantum mechanics with general relativity, and by philosophical inquiries into the nature of reality.

The term gained initial visibility in a series of papers by theoretical physicist Dr. Elena Varga in 1987, where she suggested that universalumas could function analogously to the aether in classical physics but with quantized, discrete properties. Although not widely accepted by the mainstream scientific community, the idea spawned a niche research community that explored its implications for cosmology, quantum field theory, and information theory. Some proponents argued that universalumas could explain phenomena such as entanglement and nonlocality without invoking superluminal signaling.
