UnicodeNummern

UnicodeNummern, also known as Unicode code points, are numerical values assigned to characters in the Unicode Standard. Unicode is a computing industry standard for the consistent encoding, representation, and handling of text expressed in most of the world's writing systems. Each character in Unicode is assigned a unique number, which is used to identify and represent that character in digital text.

The Unicode Standard assigns a unique number to every character, regardless of the platform, program, or language. This ensures that text files and data streams are portable across different systems and applications. The numbers are typically represented in hexadecimal format, prefixed with "U+" to indicate that they are Unicode code points.

For example, the Unicode code point for the letter "A" is U+0041, and for the letter "a" is U+0061. Special characters, symbols, and emojis also have their own unique Unicode code points.

UnicodeNummern are organized into different planes, with the Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP) covering the most commonly used characters. The BMP includes code points from U+0000 to U+FFFF. Additional planes, such as the Supplementary Multilingual Plane (SMP) and the Supplementary Ideographic Plane (SIP), extend the range of available characters.

The Unicode Standard is maintained by the Unicode Consortium, a non-profit organization that develops, maintains, and promotes the Unicode Standard. The consortium ensures that new characters are added to the standard in a consistent and systematic manner, accommodating the diverse needs of users around the world.
