Uddenberg

Uddenberg is a small urban area in Helsingborg Municipality, located in Skåne County in the southern part of Sweden. It is situated approximately 4 kilometers southwest of Helsingborg city center. The area has undergone significant urban development over the years, with a mix of residential and commercial properties.

The name "Uddenberg" is derived from the Swedish words "udden," meaning "headland" or "peninsula," and "berg," meaning "hill" or "mountain." This likely refers to the area's geographical location, which sits atop a small ridge surrounded by water on one side and other urban districts on the other.

In 1917, a large shipyard was established in Uddenberg, which became a significant employer in the area and contributed to the growth of the population. Today, the former shipyard is no longer in operation, but the area has been repurposed and redeveloped for residential and commercial use.
