UNDRR

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, commonly known as UNDRR, is a UN agency that works to promote a culture of disaster prevention and resilience worldwide. It was established in 1999 as the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) and later rebranded as UNDRR in 2015. Its primary objective is to guide and support the efforts of countries and stakeholders to implement the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.

UNDRR's work focuses on several key areas. It advocates for the integration of disaster risk reduction into development policies and planning. It also supports the collection and analysis of data on disaster losses and risks to inform policy-making. Furthermore, UNDRR facilitates international cooperation and knowledge sharing on disaster risk reduction strategies and best practices.
