U1B99

U1B99 is a compact, indoor-capable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by Nebula Dynamics as part of its Urban Inspection line. First introduced in 2018, it is designed for precise visual inspections, asset monitoring, and light payload delivery in facilities where GPS signals are unreliable or unavailable. The airframe measures about 420 mm diagonally and uses a lightweight carbon-fiber frame with a compact polycarbonate shell. Dry weight is approximately 1.9 kg, and it can carry a payload up to 0.5 kg, which commonly includes a high-resolution camera and an inspection sensor package.

The U1B99 employs four brushless motors and a purpose-built flight controller that runs a real-time operating system. Navigation relies on visual-inertial odometry complemented by a stereo camera system and an optical flow sensor, enabling stable flight and precise localization in cluttered environments. An onboard computer handles data processing, while optional modular sensors expand capabilities for measurements or asset tagging. Flight performance typically yields 15 to 18 minutes of endurance on a 2S 1500 mAh battery, with a top speed around 40 km/h. The maximum service ceiling is stated at 120 m for outdoor use; indoor operations are generally kept under 20 m for safety.

Applications emphasize indoor inventory and asset inspections in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and hospital campuses, as well as security and routine surveillance tasks. The model supports integration with Nebula’s cloud-based flight planning and data management systems, enabling pre-planned routes, automated data collection, and centralized review. Variants have been released, including the U1B99-S with extended battery life and the U1B99-CX featuring a modular camera turret for versatile imaging needs.
