Türgan

Türgan refers to a historical region located in present-day northeastern China and parts of eastern Mongolia. The name itself is believed to be of Jurchen origin.

During the Song dynasty in China, Türgan was a significant frontier area, often interacting with Chinese states through trade and sometimes conflict. It was a homeland for various Jurchen tribes, who would later play a crucial role in the history of China by establishing the Jin dynasty.
