Tõstekärud

Tõstekärud, commonly known as lifting carts or pallet jacks, are mechanical devices used to lift and move heavy loads, typically pallets. They are a common sight in warehouses, factories, and retail environments where manual handling of goods is a regular activity. The primary function of a tõstekärud is to reduce the physical strain on workers and increase efficiency in material handling operations.

These devices operate on a simple hydraulic system. A lever is used to pump hydraulic fluid, which in turn raises a set of forks. These forks are designed to slide underneath a pallet. Once the load is lifted, the tõstekärud can be wheeled to its desired location. Lowering the load is achieved by releasing a valve, which allows the hydraulic fluid to return to its reservoir.

Tõstekärud come in various forms, including manual and electric models. Manual tõstekärud require human power for both lifting and propulsion, while electric tõstekärud are powered by a battery, making them suitable for larger loads and longer distances. Variations also exist in terms of lifting capacity, fork length, and wheel material, allowing them to be tailored to specific industrial needs.
