Typ0 is a typographic concept and branding approach characterized by substituting the letter O with the numeral 0, creating a stylized wordmark such as Typ0. It functions as both a visual motif and a naming convention in digital media.

Its origins trace to online design communities in the 2000s and 2010s, where designers experimented with typographic substitutions to convey tech-focused identities. Typ0 is not tied to a single font or designer; rather, it is a method applied across typefaces to achieve a futuristic or hacker aesthetic.

Design characteristics include using a zero with or without a slash to distinguish from O; pairing with geometric sans or monospaced fonts; attention to spacing and legibility; sometimes combined with other substitutions (1 for I, 4 for A). It is typically more effective at larger sizes and in display contexts than in body text.

Applications include brand marks for tech startups, event posters, gaming or cyberpunk art, and user handles or aliases in online communities. Because of potential confusion with the letter O, some designers limit Typ0 usage to display settings rather than body text.
