Tvågradig

"Tvågradig" is a Swedish adjective meaning "two-degree". It is often used in discussions related to climate change, specifically referring to the target of limiting global warming to no more than two degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. This target, often stated as the "two-degree limit" or "2°C target," is a widely recognized goal in international climate policy.

The two-degree target was first established as a political goal by the European Union in 1996 and has since been incorporated into international climate agreements, most notably the Paris Agreement. The agreement aims to keep the increase in global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
