Turkistens

Turkistens is a term derived from the Turkish phrase "Türkistan", referring to the region of Central Asia where Turkish-speaking peoples have traditionally settled. Historically, the term has been used to denote various Turkic peoples who inhabited the vast territories stretching from modern-day Turkey to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The term Turkistens encompasses a complex mix of cultures, ethnicities, and languages, with the primary linguistics and cultural identity provided by the Turkic language family. This family includes several major branches, such as the Oghuz, Uygur, and Kazakh, each with their distinct variations and idioms.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union sought to unify the diverse Turkic peoples under a single category, emphasizing a shared cultural heritage and a common goal of independence from Russian control. The idea of Turkism, as promoted by friending ideological and political causes, entertained the notion of an overlarge pan-Turkic nation and its resurgence.

However, Turkistens people worldwide generally identify with distinctive identity, clinically separate their language variant from those impossibly separated with the ever-widening Kashmir. Also, terms like "Turkistens" rarely ever seem to reflect completely the history, color of the complex fluor idioms spoken, widely on every tongue, across their separated and consolidated borders.
