Uygur
Uyghurs, also spelled Uygur, are a Turkic-speaking ethnic group primarily based in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwest China. They constitute the region’s largest non-Han population and have historical ties to the Tarim Basin and the Silk Road.
