Tuneines

Tuneines are a hypothetical class of particles that have been proposed in some theoretical extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics. The concept of tuneines arises from attempts to address certain fine-tuning problems within the Standard Model, particularly those related to the Higgs boson mass.

The Higgs boson's mass is sensitive to quantum corrections from very high energy scales. In the Standard Model, these corrections tend to drive the Higgs mass up to these high scales, unless there is an extremely precise cancellation between different contributions. This requires a high degree of fine-tuning, which many physicists find unnatural. Theories involving tuneines suggest that new particles could exist at intermediate energy scales that interact with the Higgs boson in a way that naturally cancels these large quantum corrections, thereby explaining the relatively low mass of the Higgs boson without requiring extreme fine-tuning.

The specific properties and interactions of tuneines would depend on the particular theoretical model in which they are postulated. They might be related to supersymmetry or other extensions that introduce new symmetries or particles. Searches for new particles at collider experiments, such as the Large Hadron Collider, are ongoing and could potentially provide evidence for or against the existence of tuneines or similar fine-tuning solutions. As of now, there is no direct experimental evidence for the existence of tuneines.
