Trypsiini

Trypsiini is a tribe in zoological taxonomy used to classify a subset of insects. The circumscription of Trypsiini has varied across taxonomic authorities. In some classifications it is recognized as a distinct tribe within a family, with several genera historically assigned to it. In other treatments, the group is treated as a synonym or as a subdivision of another tribe, and its membership is not consistently defined. Because tribal boundaries within the group have changed with revisions to higher‑level taxonomy, different sources may list different genera as members of Trypsiini, and some sources do not recognize the tribe at all.

Diagnostic characters used to define Trypsiini have not been uniformly described across revisions.
