Trunkien

Trunkien is a fictional creature originating from the folklore of the Kaelen people, a nomadic tribe whose traditional lands are said to be the vast, arid plains of the continent of Xylos. Descriptions of the trunkien vary, but they are consistently depicted as small, quadrupedal beings roughly the size of a large dog. Their most defining characteristic is a long, prehensile trunk, similar to that of an elephant, which they use for a variety of purposes.

These creatures are believed to be nocturnal, spending their days in burrows or sheltered rocky outcrops. At night, they emerge to forage for roots, insects, and small desert plants. The trunkien's trunk is described as remarkably dexterous, capable of digging, grasping, and even sensing vibrations in the ground.
