Trondheimsfjord
Trondheimsfjord is a large fjord in central Norway, located along the coast of Trøndelag county and surrounding the city of Trondheim. It forms part of the coastal system that links Trondheim to the Norwegian Sea. The fjord runs roughly northwest from the city, featuring a network of branches and bays along its sides. It is about 130 kilometers long, making it one of the region’s longest fjord systems. The inner portion near Trondheim is shallow and sheltered, while the outer reaches descend to depths of several hundred meters.
