Trombia is a fictional archipelago and constitutional republic used in speculative fiction and tabletop role-playing settings. It is imagined in temperate northern seas and comprises a scattered chain of volcanic islands, coastal enclaves, and sheltered bays.

The islands range from rocky highlands to low-lying reefs. The climate is temperate maritime, with frequent fog, strong westerly winds, and moderate rainfall. Local ecosystems support fisheries, estuaries, and migratory birds.

In the story, seafaring communities established coastal settlements. A loose confederation emerged in the early modern era, culminating in a constitutional republic that codified rights and local autonomy.

Trombia has a unicameral Assembly; the president serves as head of state and a prime minister leads the government. Elections use proportional representation and the judiciary is independent. Local island authorities retain land-use and fisheries powers.

The economy centers on fishing and aquaculture, shipbuilding, maritime services, and growing renewable energy projects such as tidal and offshore wind. Tourism focuses on coastal towns and nature reserves, while regional trade connects Trombia with neighboring polities.

The population concentrates in a few towns. The official language is Trombian, with regional dialects and minority languages. Maritime heritage shapes music, crafts, and culinary traditions that emphasize seafood.

Infrastructure emphasizes resilience to coastal weather, with ferries and coastal shipping forming the main transport links and two international airports serving international travel.
