Trebeling

Trebeling is a town and municipality in the central highlands of Valoria, a fictional country. It serves as the administrative center of the Trebeling Municipality and sits on the Trebel River, about 40 kilometers north of the regional capital. The population is around 4,000 residents.

Trebeling lies in a rolling landscape of mixed forests and pastures. The climate is temperate, with mild summers and cold winters. Soils support orchard crops, hops, and dairy farming.

The settlement originated as a medieval manor in the 12th century and grew around a timber mill and market. It received municipal status in 1862 and later expanded through local reforms in the 20th century.

Today Trebeling's economy centers on forestry, small-scale manufacturing, and agriculture, with crafts such as basket weaving contributing to local tourism. The town is connected by regional roads; the nearest railway station is about 15–20 kilometers away.

Cultural life centers on an autumn harvest festival and a weekly market. The town operates two primary schools and a secondary school, and houses a public library and a local newspaper.

Trebeling is governed by a 12-seat municipal council and is part of Valoria's district system, with representation in the regional assembly.
